Instructions + Tips to Help You Search Better

General Search Tips

• You don't have to register to merely get a record count, but if you do, there are a lot of features you can access.
• You don't have to select any criteria to make a search. If you don't select any criteria, you will get a count for the whole table
• Alt S, or Alt Shift S in Fire Fox, is the shortcut key to start the search
• All data can be searched by basic geographical constraints such as US and/or Canada, By State, By County, By Cities, By Zip (you can even paste in a whole huge list of zips). By Zip code ranges, SCF, which is the first three numbers, a mile radius of records based on a central zip code, as well as by area code and phone exchange
• If the search is a long one and the page times out, you can redo your search and add your email address below near the bottom. They the results will be emailed back to you when they are done
• Only the Consumer Optin Emails all have unique email addresses. You can also specify whether you want all email addresses or not for the rest of them, except cell phones search which has no emails. But the rest will not have an email address, just phone and address.
• To search on counties, you must select at least one state. If you select more than one state, the list of counties will be grouped by state.
• You must do a search first before you can download the records. You must be registered then buy records before you can download too.

We have Five Types of Data to Choose From

1. New Home Moves

   These are recent US home moves that include only names and addresses; but has the seller, financial and loan info. The data is updated daily and requires SPECIAL credits to download.

2. Consumer Opt-In Emails

   These all have a unique email address. This is the only data set that has all emails, the rest only have partial, < half.This data is regularly refreshed too. You can search on ethnicity, income levels, the URL source the email address was submitted to. You can also search on email address strings. You can also search on age, birth date, last name and gender

3. B2B Data

   This data is regularly refreshed too. This has the normal criteria plus you can search on a company's sic code, naics code, number of employees, revenues. job titles and company names, partial or whole. There is also 5 different ways to search on sic codes + naics codes

4. Consumer Postal & Phones

   This search is different than the rest. It has over 200 criteria to search from such as hobbies, address types, children and adults in house, occupations, religion, ethnic groups, languages spoken, business owners, education levels and so much more. It has about 30% emails. It is for the USA only

5. Vehicles

   Cars + Trucks in USA & Canada, You can search on make, model, year, diesel or gas, new or used or liens or not. Also has the usual geographical searches plus You can also search on age, birth date, last name and gender. You can even search on cell phone carrier

• After you register and/or log in, cookies will be installed for your browser that will be good for a year. Make sure your browser is cookie enabled. You can logout on the the profile page if you are on a shared computer or just don't want other people to use up your credits

Record File Downloads

• Or course, you have to be registered and have purchased credits from us before you can make a download
• The credits never expire
• Your download files will stay on the server for at least 45 days before they are cleaned out.
• Any bad records you get will be made up with fresh credits by us, no hassles
• You can specify any fraction of the whole count as well as change the starting point for your download based on the count you got, So you can just request a million records starting from the 100,000^th one if the count was say 5,124,547
• Each file has a header row that has the names of the field columns below it.
• The file size is limited to one million records, So for larger downloads you will get a series of files numbered in sequence.
• You don't have to but you should give your file a name, like KY_Males_20_30. Your ID # will be appended to the start of the filename as well as the type of records , the amount and a time stamp. Example: 1064_B_21K_KY_Males_20_30_201409221048.csv.tar.bz2; means User #1064 requested at 9/22/2014 10:48 AM a file of 21 thousand b2b records of Males in Kentucky business contacts. The "KY_Males_20_30" is the part you gave it as a name. Without it, the file name would be 1064_B_21K__201409221048.csv.tar.bz2. So it is a good idea to name them so you don't get confused, which is easy to do.
• Play it safe and back up all files before opening them.
• Be very careful if you use Excel to open the uncompressed csv files. It wail not only truncate your file after 64K records on the old versions, 1 MB on the newer, 2007 & up versions, but it will maliciously truncate all the leading zeroes off of the zip codes (and anywhere else). So a Maine zip code of 00321 would be reduced to 321

• Download files are compressed CSV text files. They are compressed by the bz algorithm
• The download files are bz compressed CSV files that can be unpacked either by our emailer software or a free application
